A misty moonlight glances over a shimmering lake. A young woman sits peacefully at the waters edge, gently watching the ripples her hand makes as she trails her fingers into the cool pool. Suddenly, a shadowy figure steps closer. His red eyes glinting in the moonlight as he watches his prey. Startled she turns, her eyes growing huge and afraid as the dark cloaked man steps foreward. Scampering back she screams as he swoops down and pulls her into his clammy embrace. Yanking her head back he plunges his fangs deeply into her pulsing artery. Drinking her life's blood until she hangs limp in his arms. Satisfied, he lifts her into his arms and carries her to his lair. He whispers soft into her ear as he places her into the coffin he has prepared, "I have searched an eternity for you". Gently he presses a blood red rose to her breast as he steps back and towards his own resting place. "Sleep now beloved, the night awakens to a new beginning". He lays down in his coffin and sleeps the sleep of the damned.A soft smile pressed upon his cold lips as the sun rises in the east.

This is what most people think of when they think of Vampires. A misty night and bloody fangs. However that is not what makes a person a Vampire. Real vampires, unlike their story book rivals, do not run screaming from sunlight. Nor do they cringe at the sight of crosses, go lurking in the darkness for victims, turn others into vampires by biting them, or turn into bats. What a real vampire does  have is a thirst for blood, energy; either sexual or physical, and/or emotions from their donors. In vampyric lingo Sanguine, Pranic, Psychic and Psy energies. These are not the totality of vampirism in all individuals. There are many more types of vampires, with very different ways of feeding from their donors. However these 3 are by far the largest grouping. I have gatherd a few sites that I feel are beneficial and helpfull to those searching for an answer to perhaps a long held question. Am I a vampire?

To those who are searching, I hope that these sites can be helpfull in learning about vampirism. I found them extremely helpfull and enlightening. The one thing that struck me was one huge shock. I was not alone anymore! There were others to share my problems with. They shared my needs, my thoughts, my feelings. I didn't have to hide who I was anymore. That I really was not alone. These sites carry a wealth of knowledge. Please, use it and learn.
